On your first day of work, you will report to your office location after your orientation session at Wolverine Tower. Here, you will meet up with your supervisor or a work mentor assigned to you by your supervisor and/or your team. They will get you set up at your desk/office and introduce you to the other staff at that office location.
Get Your Mcard
If you are new to U-M, you will need to get an Mcard, the official U-M identification card. You’ll use it all over campus to identify yourself as a member of the university community. It has many uses from building access to free bus rides to local discounts and use as an ATM/debit card! New employees will generally obtain their first Mcard free during the Human Resources New Employee Orientation. Faculty and staff may also obtain their Mcards at an ID Issuing Station with a completed Mcard Request and Change form.
